Q&A

What Cuvée Home items did you select and why?

The Large Colorblock Tray in Citron on Olive and Embroidered Tiger Cocktail Napkins! I loved the green and chartreuse color combination - especially the chartreuse! I also love anything lacquered - it adds some unexpected color and glam to any space! Trays can be used on coffee tables, bars, countertops, dressers, etc. They have a multitude of uses. I also loved the tiger cocktail napkins for their classic but fun design! I am someone who considers animal prints neutral and have a love for anything tiger, leopard, etc! I also really like that the set of four comes in four different colors so no two are just alike! I can't wait to use them!

Describe your home or personal design aesthetic in 3 words:

 colorful, traditional and layered

What is your favorite styling piece or accessory?

Coffee Table Books - you can never have enough of them! They are a great topic of conversation, add interest and layers to a space while also serving as a form of art depending on the cover design while displayed on your coffee table, nightstand, side table, etc.

Where do you find inspiration:

Coffee table design and decorating books! In my spare time, I will grab one off my bookshelves and flip through the pages for inspiration, design tips and ideas from some of the best in the industry.

Favorite Design Book:

A Home for All Seasons: Gracious Living and Stylish Entertaining by Danielle Rollins &

Design, Style and Influence by Alexa Hampton

Favorite Cocktail:

It’s not necessarily a “cocktail" but I love a good red wine - particularly a cabernet sauvignon.

What is your favorite room in your house and why?

I love my kitchen and breakfast room where I styled the Cuvée Home tray and cocktail napkins! The kitchen is the heart of the home! You spend so much time in the kitchen with family and friends. I love my marble countertops, high gloss cabinets, custom breakfast room pendant light fixture and window treatments! When we moved into our home about two years ago, I made a lot of changes and updates to the kitchen because I knew how much time we would be spending in it as a family of four. I also love all of the windows in the breakfast room and over the sink!

Any tips for creating a stylish home?

Always buy what you love and you will find a place for it! Surround yourself with everything that makes you smile when you walk through your front door! Be sure to mix old pieces with newer ones to achieve a curated feel, as if it’s all always been there! Don’t be scared to mix in family heirlooms - they are usually great conversation pieces. Add layers and textures to your spaces with different types of materials and always incorporate original art! Artwork adds so much interest and character to a room, along with custom window treatments and coffee table books!
